A Pleasant Surprise Visit by the Board of Trustees at RDAA’s Head Office in Yambio.

On December 22nd 2020, the board of trustees lead by their Chairman Mr. Joseph Sume made a surprise visit to RDAA’s head Office in Yambio.

This was not a crisis visit but in line with the provisions of RDAA’s Charter of Trustees, which states “the board may occasionally pay a routine visit to the offices of RDAA to have casual meeting with the staff for advice, counsel and encouragement”.

The main agenda for this meeting was to find out from the staff the general achievement for the year and the plans for next year.

The Chairman also inquired from the Acting Director about progress of the documents that RDAA promised to provide them. In response to the board of trustees, the acting director promised to invite some board members in the future to attend the launch of new programs etc. He also assured them that the document that they were promised are in progress and would soon be distributed to them.

The members of the board were then presented with RDAA caps and T-shirts that were recently used in the launch of the project funded by UNDP on Advocacy on inclusive Dialogue, Reconciliation, Healing and Social Cohesion, which is being conducted in Maridi, Nzara and Yambio Counties.

Based on his assessment of the action plan presented by the acting director and each staff the chair of the board was impressed and expressed great optimism for a better future for RDAA.
