Project Title: Provision of school and learning materials to promote basic primary education
Project Brief: Findings from the IRNA (Innitial Needs Rapid Assessment) carried out by RDAA education team have shown that primary schools in these 3 counties are facing a lot of problems like lack of basic equipment’s, supplies and children material and a very poor learning environment where children sits on logs with no desks.
Teachers are not different from their pupils as them lack teaching aids, chairs, tables, training and other fundamentals.
This has affected both the children learning ability and education standards in the three counties. This has meant that children continue to perform poorly in the national exams due to delayed or irregular learning as a result of lack of basic stationeries and furniture. This initiative is in response to the recovery and resilience program of Gbudue and Maridi states.
