Brief Story Write up

In our continued desire to fill gaps in development, our unwavering search for funding to support education lead us to Larca Mission International  Sweden (LM International). LM international is s swedish based organization that supports education programmes especially educating children with impairment.

In line with that, we received funding to implement a project entitled: Promoting inclusive education in emergencies and protracted crisis. Whose objective is to ensure that children with impairments are not discriminated when it comes to acquiring formal education by either their relatives (parents and guardians), teachers or the community from which the come and that they are given equal treatment like other rather healthy children whether at school or at home.

This project is being implemented in Nzara County and its beneficiaries are teachers, School management committee (SMCs) members and Parents and Teachers association (PTA) members from; Zereda Nursery and primary school, ECS primary School and Nzara one primary school and over 50 teachers and over 50 PTA and SMC members

Objectives of the Activity

  1. Support the monitoring of children with disabilities at least thrice in every term for 3 primary schools in Nzara County of Western Equatoria State.
  2. Conduct training for adolescent girls with disabilities on sexual health, reproductive health, sexual rights and reproductive rights.
  3. Carrying out school assessment in 3 primary schools in Nzara
  4. Establishing rights clubs in 3 primary schools
  5. Printing and distribution of IEC materials in schools and community.
  6. Conduct 2 training for teachers on inclusive education from 3 primary schools.
  7. Conduct 1 training on inclusive games and sports.
  8. Conduct 2 training for school management committee members and Parent teachers’ association members.
  9. Conduct 3 training on Conflict and peace, Gender equality, climate and environment.
