Brief Story Write up

On Completion, the Yubu bridge quick impact Yambio project funded by UNMISS whose construction was commissioned by the H.E Lt. Gen. Alfred Futuyo Karaba (Governor Western Equatora State) is once again being inaugurated by the same person.

On this day of the 16th April 2023, RDAA handed over the completed quick impact project for the construction of Yubu bridge in Yambio county to UNMISS (Project funder) who then handed it over to the community of Sakure through the guest of honour, H.E Lt. Gen. Alfred Futuyo Karaba, Governor western Equatoria State. Also present were the State minister for roads and bridges Western Equatoria State, Hon. Anna Tunna, the commissioner of Yambio County, Hon. Mbiko Barakat, Representatives from UNMISS, community and religious leader and the entire community of Sakure payam.

Objectives of the Activity

  1. To ensure transparency and accountability
  2. To make sure that the project us handed over to the right authorities
  3. To make sure Populations understand their responsibility in managing this resource
  4. To appreciate the donors and implementers for the job well done
  5. To assure the population of government’s efforts in bringing services near to them

Expected Results

 

  1. Improved access to the market for farmers
  2. Improved access better health facilities and care
  3. Assurance of the safety of people’s lives especially during the rainy season
  4. Improved access to schools across the bridge for school going children
  5. Improved security
  6. Improved access for people who have farm lands across the bridge from Yambio
