This particular activity is funding is extended by International Trade Center (ITC) The pictures here bring you highlights of the formation of self help groups by the survivors of CRSV. Self help groups are groups created by the survivors to help them overcome the economic hardships they go through since most of them don’t have white color jobs and are either house wives, single mothers or self employed. In the Selfself help groups, the survivors are taught basic financial literacy skills, and then introduced to livelhood skills which will later become a source of income hence creating a chance for them to improve their standard of living, send their children born out of rape to school and be able to have access to basic house hold needs. This way, the chances of reducing trauma are increased and hence recovery of the survivors. |
