Brief Story Write up

While other project activities focused on the psychological well being of the survivors of conflict related sexual violence, there is a component that looked at economic empowerment of the survivors in all the project implementation areas. Under this component, all the 150 survivors, attended a workshop in which they were trained in basic financial literacy as a necessary skill that is meant to ensure financial stability. This particular component was support by International Trade Center (ITC) and it became a major requirement for the project’s success because economic stability is one of the methods for helping the survivors in the recovery process.

In the case of Yambio where RDAA is the project’s implementing partners, We engaged 15 beneficiaries in liquid soap making and the remaining 35 in vegetable gardening.
