Training of School PTA Members

Project Title:  Increasing availability of Learning Spaces with community participation

Activity: Training for PTA members for the Schools were the SPLSs were built

Location: Raja County, Western Bahr-el-Ghazal State, South Sudan

No of beneficiaries: 66 members  (56male and 10 women)

Period: 2023 – 2024

Brief Story Write up

Establishing better learning structures is just one step in improving education, Since the structures and those using them need to be supervised, it is important that the authorities responsible for that are trained on how to manage these assets.

As a project requirement, the RDAA staff responsible for education (Project manager) Mr. Muyanja Robert facilitated a PTA training for 66 PTA members at Raja West girls primary schools  as shown n pictures above and below

Objectives of the Activity

  1. To provide the PTA with modern schools management skills
  2. To listen the challenges the PTA face in regards to their location
  3. To ensure that the PTA understand the project scope and what the project requires of them

Expected Results

 

  1. Increased enrolment
  2. Improved academic performance of pupils
  3. Provision of employment opportunities to the teachers and other none teaching staff
  4. Improvement of the learning environment
  5. Build intellectual for the future of South Sudan
  6. Transformation of the communities mind-set in regards to development and peaceful co-existence
